Dr. Spanier grew up in New City, New York, graduated with a B.A. in Biology from Duke University and moved to Nashville in 1999 for medical school and residency at Vanderbilt.  He joined Capstone Pediatrics in July 2006.  Dr. Spanier enjoys running, cooking, traveling, movies, trivia, Titans Football, and Duke Basketball. He lives with his wife Mindy (an elementary school teacher) and their three dogs Bella, Bandit, and Pumpkin.  They are expecting their first daughter, Mallory, in June 2014.
